When you navigate the Service, we automatically collect information about how you interact with our legislative data streams ("Usage Data"). This includes:
- Legislative bills or topics viewed, searched, shared, or favorited.
- Time spent within specific analysis modules of the application.
- Device metadata (e.g., iOS version, device model) used solely for performance monitoring and crash resolution.
- Content liked/disliked using the application's "ghost vote" feature.
2. The Anonymization Protocol (Your Absolute Protection)
Our core commitment is that your explicit personal tracking and individual behavior are never shared or sold. To achieve this, we utilize a strict Anonymization and Aggregation Protocol before any data analysis occurs:
- Complete De-identification: Before any usage metrics or engagement patterns are evaluated for macro-trends, all direct identifiers (including email addresses, usernames, and unique device tokens) are entirely stripped away and destroyed from the analytics package.
- Irreversible Breakdown: The processing breaks any link between your real-world identity and your application activity. It cannot be recombined or traced back to your individual account or device.
- Macro-Aggregation: Data is merged exclusively into large pool groups (e.g., "15,000 anonymous interactions showed increasing interest in House Bill HR-XXXX"). Individual user profiles or singular timelines are never maintained for analytics or external distribution.
3. Use and Commercial Sale of Anonymized Data
While Dumb Politics, Corp. does not rent, sell, or share your personally identifiable Account Data with third parties, we explicitly reserve the right to utilize and commercialize the resulting Anonymized, Aggregated Data.
- Permitted Monetization: We may license, sell, or distribute aggregated, completely de-identified macro-trend data to research institutions, civic groups, media outlets, or corporate entities to demonstrate broader public interest metrics regarding active legislation.
- Absolute Shield: Because this data is completely anonymized, it contains no Personal Data, cannot identify you, and can never be tied directly or indirectly back to you by any receiving party.
4. Third-Party Service Providers
We may employ third-party SDKs or cloud infrastructure companies (such as hosting providers or crash analytics tools) to facilitate our Service. These third parties only have access to your data to perform specific technical tasks on our behalf and are legally obligated under strict Data Processing Agreements not to disclose or use it for any other purpose.
5. Data Deletion Rights
In compliance with global and domestic privacy frameworks (including California consumer privacy standards), you maintain absolute control over your personal account details.
- You may request the permanent deletion of your account and personal identifiers at any time by navigating to your profile settings in the app or emailing support@dumbpolitics.com.
- Upon execution, all personally identifiable account data will be wiped permanently from our production databases within thirty (30) days.
6. Children's Privacy
Our Service is not directed to anyone under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personally identifiable information from children. If we discover that a child under 13 has provided us with Personal Data, we delete it immediately from our servers.
